It used to be that we would plan to tap our summer beer on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend.
At one point I actually remember committing to swimming at Craigville as part of the tapping "ceremony" - but, well, that was before I realized how cold the water can be on Memorial Day.

But I digress....Each year the inquiries start earlier and earlier..so this year we decided to give in.
Cape Cod Summer will be pouring at the brewery starting this Friday 4/20 at noon and available into September.

Cape Cod Summer is a traditional Hefe Weizen, (pronounced Hay-fa-VI-tsen) or wheat beer. Unfiltered and highly carbonated, this beer uses a special yeast that gives this beer unique banana and clove flavors - and is perfect on a hot summer day.

New this year, Summer will also offered on draught to those location already serving Red & IPA. The list currently includes:

• Barnstable Restaurant & Tavern - Barnstable

• The Island Merchant - Hyannis

• Roo Bar - Chatham

• The Red Nun - Chatham

• Sweet Tomatoes - Osterville & Falmouth

• Wimpy's Seafood Cafe - Osterville

• Wianno Grille - Hyannis
